Dr Caniato is a Queensland trained psychiatrist. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland.

He briefly worked as a general practitioner before completing his psychiatric training in Townsville. He worked in the public system for a number of years before deciding to work independently as a private psychiatrist. He has experience in most areas of forensic psychiatry having previously held the position of Director of the Forensic and Secure Services for North Queensland (Australia). His areas of clinical interest include anxiety disorders, pain disorders, psychoses and gender or sexual issues. His approach is biological with a strong focus on modern evidence based treatments.

Duncan is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 17 years’ experience. He has worked in Australia and the UK, providing assessment and intervention to disorders of mood, affectivity and thought from adolescence to older adulthood.

His treatment approach involves insight-oriented cognitive and behavioural therapies including CBT, IPT, and ACT. He also has extensive experience in the assessment of capacity, character and risk of violence, and has held specific consultative roles to the Magistrate and District Courts. His clinical interests lie in the treatment of anxiety disorders including specific and social phobia, OCD, PTSD, and worry.

Amy has 10 years' experience working in public community health, inpatient hospital wards and private practice.

Amy is warm and approachable and values the worth and dignity of every person. She uses a person-centred model that considers thoughts, feelings, behaviour, social relationships and brain function. Amy recognises the importance of faith and religion to many clients.

Emma is a doctoral trained Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years' experience, predominantly in trauma and mental health.

Her doctoral thesis examined self-injury and disordered eating, and Emma has a number of peer-reviewed publications reporting on self-injury, disordered eating, and Indigenous mental health. Emma is an approved supervising psychologist, a member of the Australian Psychological Society, and a Fellow of the College of Clinical Psychologists.

Emma works with adults and adolescents (14 years+), has a special interest in women’s wellbeing and mental health, and considers it a privilege to be able to support women through times of difficulty. She is experienced in treating a broad range of mental health issues, with particular interests in: perinatal depression and anxiety; eating disorders; trauma, complex trauma, and post-traumatic stress disorder; nonsuicidal self-injury; and depression, anxiety, and stress. Emma offers a range of evidence-based therapies to help people recover and move forward, and collaboratively tailors therapy with clients to help meet their needs. Therapies offered include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy skills, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy skills, Interpersonal Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
